Rose Garden Tea

I never seem to tire when it comes to playing with my sewing machine. Love these cute potholders. Made with the ever popular Rose Garden Tea by Northcott.

I was lucky to find this on one of my shopping trips a while back. I stocked up for future projects. I've made a few totes and potholders. I have a few more things in mind.

These are listed on eBay (a*vintage*rose).

Tea Party

While having lunch with a friend last week, I noticed the lady at the next table. She had this little tea bag pouch. I asked her where she got it and she it was a gift from a friend. It was so darling, and held one tea bag.

I loved the concept and when I got home, I designed my version. I'm still in the early stages, and have a few more idea, but this is what I've done so far.

My little purse has four(4) pockets. Each pocket can hold up to 4 bags. Not that you would want to carry that many tea bags in your purse. Well, maybe, if you were joining friends for a tea party. I will be making one that will be more compact and will have 2 pockets.

These fit nicely in your purse. If you aren't in the mood for soda, how about ordering a cup of hot water. Steep your tea and then pour over ice for a refreshing glass of flavored iced tea.

These make great gifts. I have some listed on eBay(a*vintage*rose) but will be putting these cuties on my website soon.

Remembering Yesterday

How things change. I remember when I got married almost 42 yrs ago. We were young. Not a lot of money. We started our household with the bare necessities. I remember the only dinnerware we could afford was the plastic melmac dishes. I had quite a few sets of them through the years. I loved to decorate as far back as I can remember. I have old pictures of our first home, and the kitchen was always a different color. When I changed the paint, I changed the dishes. With melamine, you could afford to do that.

I found this set of plates with pink roses. Then I found the pink cups and bowls. Pinks match perfectly. Only a service for 4. What a great find for the shabby or cottage chic kitchen. You can find these on my website at:

Think Spring

I can't believe how fast this year is going. It's starting to look like Spring. The trees are budding and the grass is turning green. Some days are nice and warm (in the 70's).

I think I love Spring more than any season. I love Summer too, but Spring is so refreshing, after a cold and dreary Winter. We don't get much snow. I think we had 2 this year, but they didn't stick for very long. We do get a lot of rain and this past week, we've had more than our share. I want to see the sun again.

Being cooped up inside, I've been busy sewing some cute handbags. I love pink, but don't we all? My purses are made with the best designer fabrics, in many shades of pinks, sages, and lots of roses.

I've added some new items with more to follow. Just need to tear myself away from the sewing machine to get them listed.

THINK SPRING!!!
