Happy Halloween

October 31, Halloween. Where has this year gone? Before you know it, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas. Then we start a new year, all over again.

I've been busy since my road trip. Mostly creating things for Christmas. I finished this darling patchwork quilt tree and I'm really pleased with it. I'll be listing this on eBay tonight.

I used so many trims, ribbons, and this gorgeous fabric collection I've had, waiting for me to do something with it.

Smokey Mountains

I'm back from my road trip. I must say, we had a ball. I went with my daughter and we shopped till we dropped. We ended up going to Georgia, north of Atlanta. Stayed there a couple days and headed towards South Carolina. It was taking us forever to get out of Georgia, with all the antique shops. Saw a billboard for Cherokee, NC. It has a Harrah's casino, so we detoured. Never made it to SC. We visited the casino, stayed the night there and headed thru the Smokey Mountains in the morning. It was drizzling, and then we came upon a heavy fog. My daughter was driving. She did great, but I was still a little nervous. Finally the sun came out and we were able to get a few pictures. Did more shopping in Tennessee and then we headed home. Had such a wonderful time. We ate too much, shopped too much, but look forward to doing this again, soon.

On The Road Again!

It seems like I just got home and I'm off on another trip. This one is for girls only, and will be lots of fun. My daughter and I are leaving in the morning. We are heading south. We have our trip planned around our favorite restaurants and where there is plenty of shopping. I love antique shops, she loves the more modern things. We plan to be gone for 4 days. We will go to Georgia, then S. Carolina, N. Carolina, Tennessee, and then home to KY. Hope we find some nice things to put on our websites.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I'm starting to get in the Christmas spirit. I love these coasters. They make wonderful gifts. I always have a few sets available, so when you get an unexpected visitor during the Holidays, you have a special gift for them. I made them in Christmas prints, and they are available on my website at www.a-vintage-rose.com

New Items on my Website

Vacation is over and it's time to get back to work. I've listed some tampon holders, an eyeglass case and a Halloween sign.
You might consider getting this sign for next year, although you have plenty of time this month to use it in your decor for the holiday. Find them at www.a-vintage-rose.com

Back to Basics

Had a lot of fun in Vegas. Played slots and 3 card poker. Came home a winner. Yippee!!!!

Time to get busy and add some new things to my website. I have been lazy lately. Have a few custom orders and lots of emails to answer.
